GForce Studio Martial Arts
Gforce 3M (Math/Mindfulness/ Martial Arts) afterschool enrichment program, provides students, aged four to eleven, with martial arts uniforms, transportation from Hartford to Gforcestudio for extensive martial arts and meditation training, as well as activities to build their math skills.
Double Dutch League
Double Dutch Health, Conditioning and Training program is a division of the Juvenile and Adult Diabetes Health Awareness Foundation. JADHA FOUNDATION educates the community about diabetes prevention, the importance of staying healthy, eating right, exercise, and building self-esteem and confidence in yourself as a human being.
Youth Art Institute with Charter Oak Cultural Center
Charter Oak Cultural Center’s Youth Arts Institute is dedicated to providing wide access to the arts for Hartford youth and to strengthening family and community through professional and community arts programming. They offer after school music lessons, summer programs, family events, and more!
Dive into Dance with Sonia Plumb Dance Company
Sonia Plumb Dance & FootLights Performing Arts provide exceptional training for ages 4 and up. Scholarships for grades 6-12 available.Classes include Modern, Ballet, Creative, Repertory, Foundations for Boys Only, and electives such as hip-hop fusion, Floorbarre/conditioning and Step and Drill.
Hip Hop, Modern, and more with Studio860
Youth, teen, and adult drop in classes are available at Studio860. Hip-hop and dance technique classes are available at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. Get fit, improve your skills, get discovered, meet new friends or push yourself out of your comfort zone.
Education @ Hartford Stage
Education @ Hartford Stage aims to provide students of all ages throughout Connecticut with innovative, quality theatrical opportunities and education programs that challenge and inspire. Programs use theatre techniques to build community and citizenship, to promote a passion for literacy and create expression, and to encourage life-long learning. Scholarships available.
YPI at HartBeat Ensemble
YPI is a professional paid internship in acting, playwriting, theater design or stage management for young adults between the ages of 16 and 21 years old; a program where youth are developing and expressing their perspectives about social justice and engaging in their lives through a political lens. Participants are paid a stipend that meets the CT minimum wage.
